The American Forest Foundation has published a manual, Project Learning Tree, that has a large number of classroom activities in it. Each activity clearly indicates the appropriate grade levels, subjects, concepts, skills, objectives, materials needed, time considerations and assessment opportunities.

Oregon State University, through their Oregon Forest Education Project, periodically offers workshops on Project Learning Tree. If you want to learn more about PLT and their materials, call 541-737-3005 at OSU, for the date and place of their next workshop.

Oftentimes, the Oregon Forest Resources Institute (503-229-6718) has funding to help with the workshop.
