What: 16th Annual Tree Planting Day
When: Saturday, January 26, 2008
Who: All youth are invited for a day of tree planting fun!
Where: We leave from the Philomath High School parking lot at 9:00am and return around noon. Please car pool; our roads are not built for heavy traffic.
What to expect: Expect cold, rain, and mud.
What to bring: Bring rain clothes and boots and plan to have fun! Bring your own shovels.
RSVP: Please RSVP by Monday, January 22nd at the Starker Forests, Inc. office. Indicate the number of youngsters and adults. Participation limited to the first 140 youth to RSVP. If you RSVP please come. It is unfair to those who can't come because we have already have reached the limit as well as the people who organize and plan the event.

Who's helping: Explorer Post 122 will direct the parking; the forestry clubs from Philomath High School and Oregon State University will teach how to plant; Boy Scout Troop 2 will prepare the hot dogs and hot chocolate; each tree planter will get a free T-shirt. A lot of time and effort gets put into this event so please show up if you say that you will be coming.
