Christmas Tree Permits:

Christmas tree permits will be available Dec. 3. They are limited: one tree per permit, per person, per address. First call, first served. Permits will be issued until 3:30 p.m. daily until we run out.

To obtain a permit, call our office. Staff will take your information over the phone and email you a permit. We will instruct you on how to make your donation.

You will select a date from a two-week period after Thanksgiving and be assigned an area to visit and cut your tree.

Bear in mind, Starker Forests does not shear trees. Our trees grow as nature intends. This year, we have available mostly Douglas-fir trees.

Please, keep in mind:

  • These are rock logging roads, not paved low-passenger car roads
  • Make sure you have plenty of gas, in case you take a wrong turn
  • Please close all gates behind you when you enter the tree farm
  • Stay on the road, shoulder may be soft
  • Enjoy the forest and walk among the trees until you find your special tree – please do not cut from the side of the road if there are no other trees nearby
  • Cut trees in areas where there are other trees within 10 feet in all directions
  • Do not cut a tree taller than 12 feet
  • Do not cut top from taller tree

Cost is a minimum $10 donation payable to: Boys & Girls Club of Corvallis or Old Mill Center for Children & Families or Philomath Youth Activities Club
(Starker Forests will match your donation)
